What does the bottom end of engine contain? What about the top end? Is it possible switch ends with different engines like having a L67 bottom and l36 top half or visa versa or with the l26 and l32 as well. Would everything bolt up similar like stock or would i require little or alot of modifications to get it work? Does this only benefit turbo guys or all boosted applications?

you can do whatever you want as long as it doesnt knock running 16* timing or so with boost, and 27-30* N/A

With an L67 block and an L36 top-end, you'd end up with a low-compression n/a engine.... definitely not worth the time unless you plan on turbocharging the vehicle in the future.

Well that kinda the idea to add boost but the does compression matter, or is a moot point as long as kr is under control?

High comp for an M90 is ideal for all out build.

Low comp is more daily driver friendly with boost.

Low comp is ideal for turbo.

Low comp engines have stronger rods and pistons. Not by much. Knock will destroy any of these pistons.

End of the day: doesnt matter either way.

    thank for the info dsmuts

So my car is gunna be like a semi-daily driver 3 to 4 days a week not very far mostly all highway miles.

Should i look for a l67/32 bottom end now , install a cam, matte that with my L36 top end and install my csc

    or

get like a spearco intercooler, install with csc and install cam 3-4 months later with l36 block and not worry about the compression?

For highway miles a low comp will be better...

You could run a meth setup and drop 87 in the tank and set spray to come on past 2psi

Why would low comp be better?

It'd be more of a dog out of boost.

High comp with a two stage fuel system, 87 and meth/E85.

A novi, if this is an old ZZP setup, was put together to run on an NA engine with high comp.

To be uber technical about nothing.. the L67 was first produced as a Series I engine in 1992. The Series 2 parts are not interchangable with Series 1 parts. Like I said..it doesn't matter, cause you guys are talking S2 to S2
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
