too many wrongs in that sentence.

    first. a L36 is not SC'd and not a Series 3. it is a series 2 NA

next, if the 06 is SC'd it is an L32. unless someone took an 06 and went thru the trouble to put an l36 topswap in it.

the L32 will fit in your engine bay. but the main differences are:
-l32 TB is drive by wire and needs switched to an L67 TB
-the injector connectors are diff so those will need adapters.
-you will need a pcm or tune to run it.

im sure the rest will jump in with the missing details

This is still wrong. If you can't tell what the motor is, then you should just keep the same one in it.

I think you need to save your pennies, guy.

Buy a GTP cheap when someone needs to pay their rent or needs bail money.

    04 monte is NOT a series 3.

You're obviously uneducated about this. Do some more reading into the intricacies of top swapping before you even THINK about removing bolt 1.

If you're not ready to pour up to $3,000 into this, I suggest you stop right now.

In short, yes. Don't use the transmission or you'll have a headache trying to deal with the differences in the programming and such.

Assuming you're using just the block and heads, no problem. If you are using the Gen V blower on it you'll need to get a Gen V to L67 throttle body adapter, an L67 throttle body, injector connector adapters, a tune.

Dyno or in car tune. Far better bang for the buck

Maybe he owes money on it?

I suggest buying some kind of tune for it before you start doing anything. Do not run the new setup on your current PCM.

    HP tuner.

It's pretty user friendly yes, though it's got a pretty steep learning curve. Less so than DHP but still.

    Not a handheld like SC.
