I'm looking into installing an L26 aluminum UIM on a 1998 3800 in a Grand Prix SE. I've read and found comparison pics that show that it's pretty much a bolt on conversion with the exception of the TB and that can be fixed with an adapter plate from ZZP. Would this be better than installing a new&improved plastic UIM and is it worth the extra effort to get another 50-60K miles out of the car? If not who makes a reliable replacement UIM? Thanks in advance.
