    I have a 98 grand prix gt. I found a motor for 500 thats s/c. i wanna drop it in. what all will i have to modify to get it in or will it bolt right up?

    The motor will bolt right up. It's the same motor.

    If you can get the transmission then get it too...if not then just take the heads/LIM/blower/TB/PCM...stuff like that...just to do a top swap. Check out the top swap thread...it'll help you out a bunch.

    the tranny comes with it. what would be easier and faster, the top swap or the whole motor

    Ive have looked at doing the same and from what ive heard from pretty much everyone in here id go with the top swap and use the l67 supercharged trans but be careful because i doubt the gear ratios are the same in the GTP and your GT trans. Honestly id just top sway it and keep the rest of the parts and trans until some thing breaks BTW the gt bottom end will make more power cuz of higher compression.
