Im looking to buy some new parts for my 04 GTP. I would like to stay around a grand for this specific event of new parts buying. I was wondering what would be the best bang for buck things I could do.

    Fenderwell intake
    180 stat

    meth is like 425, buy a tuner 400, and a 3.2 pulley

or a used ic whole kits pop up for 700 or less and 3.4 with a tune.

or save up another grand and buy a used turbo.

I have HPTuners. I was thinking Meth but idk how much meth cost and how much it uses. Would I be able to run a 3.2 with meth and the gen V without headers?

IC is cool, but its a lot of work to install. I ran a 3.2 on an IC with same exhaust setup, probably could have done more , meth should be about the same . Meth isnt that expensive. Snow Performance Boost Juice 40008 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

Meth only engages when you hit boost, and the larger nozzles are like 600ml per minute 3.8 liters in a gallon. So you have roughly 6 minutes of meth per gallon, but thats really only when youre beating on the car.

Are there any guides on how to set up the meth with regards to the nozzle sizes and the tuning?

Talk to scottydogs, i have a meth kit sitting my spare room i plan to install. You need a wideband o2 sensor so you can monitor wot fueling. Factor that in to your costs if you dont have one.

I do have one already. I just looked into it and Ive been seeing things about a fail safe map in the tune for when the meth runs out but ive never seen anything like that in HPtuners when tuning my car

Use the low level sensor that comes with the kit and put it at a level where you have time. Also keep a spare gallon in the trunk.

aem kit comes with a led light you mount in your line of sight. if its flashing, or dont come on when at or past the start to spray psi, you let off asap.

you pretty much pull fuel from the maf from 7000 up in the maf file. i had pulled some where 5000-6000 too. as thats where i was starting to make 6 psi my start to spray setting.

you lower the timing to a safe number that cant knock. like 10-13 wot. then lean it out to mid 12's, then use the large jet of the 3 you get with the kit. and that should get your afr back to a mid 11. if your to rich or lean, adjust the maf as need be. then add your timing back once the afr is set up right. should be able to run 21 wot. so ad two degrees at a time till it knocks on ya, then back it off. you found the max timing.

iw as able to go from 14 wot on a gen 3 at 8.5 psi with a ic and a 3.2. to a 2.8 made 13 psi and 21 wot. no kr in sight.
