So I just got a set of sd headers, and I want to delete the cat. Just wondering what the best way to go about it is, without having codes

Delete it outta the tune or buy a bung extension. It sets the sensor outta the direct exhaust path so it won't set the ses light. As for the cat delete, just put the downpipe together the way its supposed to be. I got the same setup, put it tofmgether with no cat welded in. Most of us do it like that...

just take it back to your tuner, ask for them codes to be deleted, leave or remove the rear o2, dont matter either way.

it might work, but deleting them works 100% of the time.

Lol would love to go that route, but I don't have a tuner or know anyone that does. I'm from ND and there isn't really anybody around that tunes these cars

killing the cat test is for 01-03 cars only.

being you got headers im sure your thinking about a pulley drop, so order up a canned tune and have those codes deleted.

Yeah I am planning a pulley drop drop but I think im going to wait till spring.
I just got my intercooler installed a few weeks ago and before that I had a HUGE amount of part throttle kr. Now I have absolutely none ....but also its been like -20 the last week's...so I gata wait for it to warm up a lil and keep scanning for kr before I drop

you need to get a set of 42 injectors then, with the ic you can drop to a 3.2 easy and thats where you start to max out the stock ones.

2004+ might still have the cat diag tests. 2001-2003 for sure does but I still think that went on with the 04+ body style.

I know HP Tuners can't turn those off.

3.2 seems like a huge drop. R saying that getting bigger injectors would help my part throttle kr? And what do u mean by "Max out the stock ones"?

Also I already have a 3"cated dp was thinking about just cutting the cat outa that and having the inlet expanded at a exhaust shop and just band clamping it in ...but it's just another restriction

mean your engine will want more fuel then the stock injectors can provide. why you would need the 42's and be tuned for them.

on the other hand, dhp tuners are cheap and if your gonna do a ic and all, may as well put a tuner in your mod list. canned tunes work ok, but when you can fine tune it to the cars needs its so much better.

forgot your a GEN 5 blower, a 3.3 might be better then a 3.2, but you'll still be maxing out them stock injectors.

Emulator is such a huge waste of money. Spend 10$ on an extension. Done deal!
