So, my oil pan is in need if replacing. It's rusted clear through. But I have always done my own work on my cars no matter how difficult it is. But do you really have to lift the engine? Is there a way to lift it without an engine lift just high enough to get the oil pan free? I work at fast food so money is a struggle right now and can't afford a mechanic to do such a thing.

I took my oil pan off a wile back with the motor in the car. That was a huge pain in the ass. If I had to do it again I'd just pull the motor.
