Do yourself a favor and invest in some good towels. The towels at wlamart, autozone and other places like this are junk. They will scratch your paint. If you are not worried about that then by all means pick up some locally.

Costco has the kirkland microfibers that are ok. I still wouldn't use them on paint but for the average person they are ok. As with all microfibers, wash before use. These will lint.

If you want a good towel to dry pick up a couple from here. Either of these are good.

Glass towels

These are also good. They are best for removing waxes, polishes, compounds, detail sprays, spray waxes. They are not necessarily good for drying.

These are what you want for drying. A minimum of 2 would be my recommendation. 1 would not be enough.

While you are at it pick up the Meguiar's wash mitt. It's very soft, cheap and works great.
