Alright guy's thought i might post some tip's & tricks for detailing your nice grand prix. Because we all know some of us pontiac driver's love to have a clean ride. So let's start

INTERIOR

1.) open up all your door's including your trunk

2.) Push your front seat's forward all the way and back's forward as well. Next take yourself a air gun i usually use a small pencil style from harbor freight because it can get into those hard to reach area's between the seat and seatbelt.

3.) Start to blow everything forward with the matt's still in the vechile after you blow all forward take your matt's set em up on the seat. Then blow the floor debri forward.

4.) Now before getting out your vacumm cause you may think that your done don't unless you want the rest to be dirty. Next take all your big pieces of trash out of the door pockets such as tons of tissues , napkins etc....

5.) next blow out your door pocket's the parts as well to where you grab your hand for the handle dirt grime etc...like to get stuck there as well.

6.) now that you got the doors all blown out the floor pushed everything forward. Now start blowing out your dash vent's and dash in general get all the dust etc...out of all that.

7.) now you can put your blowgun away and get out your vacumm start to vac. it all up.

GLASS

Alrght now some may think really windows come on tip's on that really how hard can it possibly be. Well been in detailing buisness few yrs and many i've worked with hate doing windows. But i usually do windows for most car's come through because so many hate doing them. So im going to give you guy's some tip's for best thing's to use and how you won't get streak's and clean glass windows everytime.

1.) First off your going to want to get yourself a good glass cleaner now as many may think glass cleaner aren't they all the same. NOT TRUE at all i can not stress that especially when it comes to cleaning tinted windows. some good company's out there and glass cleaner that works very well and home remedy's as well are invisible glass my favorite by far , vesco company glass cleaner if you are able to get that commerical only , 3m glass cleaner, water and vinegar the in home remedy and yes it works. if there's any your favorites you had luck with post on up.

2.) now what's the best way to clean them nasty windows i usually start with a aersol can or spray of glass cleaner go in letter S and your going to want to take your hand flip it upside down using either a microfiber , brown paper towels , shop paper towels. only reason why say those main 3 is because regular paper towels , tissue etc... are going to leave little fibers everywhere and sometimes a real pain to pick up.

3.) Now once you got your glass cleaner chose and your paper towels or microfiber chosen go in shape of letter S as i said but you do not want to leave the glass cleaner all dry leave the window slight damp then flip your towel then dry reason why you do this is so you do not streak or risk scratching the glass.

4.) Also for tinted windows you want to make sure to use a glass cleaner that is amonia free so that it does not discolor your tint.

PANELS

1.) Now i can not stress enough on how many product's are out there for interior panels and some i can not even believe that are on the market. Let me just say some that are out there Blue magic , 3m , armor all , meguiars , mothers , surf city , Jax wax , Eagle , Turtle wax and i could keep going on and on and on those are just some. Now let me talk about some that are not going to rip your hair out right after you get done detailing and seem's like all dust , dirt and just nasty everything little thing attracted.

2.) So let's start with which used to be my favorite of company's meguiar's im not biggest fan of there interior cleaners now just because i have noticed a greasy , streaky style feeling after wipe down after a few days or week or so. why im not 100% sure used to not be like that. i have noticed that even there superior shine and natural look spray one after few day's becomes a greasy feeling and not as shine as the dullness comes back.
Mother's i have had very good luck with there interior cleaner's one has not failed me yet no greasy feeling after a few day's and did not attract dust mites at all was happy with there product.
Turtle wax wouldn't suggest at all as there product's greasy feeling streaky no shine just not happy at all with there produt's.
eagle one used to be good back in day but if not mistaken they got bought out by someone and complteley diff. product and same garbage as turtle wax.
Jax wax if you know about this product you know more then the mainstream of detailing. very clean no streaks no grease feeling at all. only drawback is there product's usually come in small quanity's.
3m very great interior product no grease feeling a nice smooth panel not to much of shine more of a natural look. leaves a nice new car style smell.
Surf city i've been experimenting with there product's and so far every product i have used from them is great no complaints at all. maybe few extra bux but well worth. only place found to carry in michigan there full line is pep boys.

3.) if you have white or light colored panels this trick work's great let's say you kicked your door getting out on accident or scuffed it some how. Take the most very fine body scuff pad and some glass cleaner or real light degreaser. very softly slowly scuff at that scuff and it will be no more. WARNING i can not stress only on light colored panels if you do on dark it will take the color of the panel and leave a horrible scuff mark then you'll have prep paint etc....you don't want that so light colored panels ONLY!!!!.

4.) Now for wiping down your panels your going to want to use a terry cloth towel or bath towel or something of sort reason i say this is its a heavier style towel and you can really push down on the panels and get that grime dust etc....up without going over dirt where as a microfiber is a lense dense fiber material and wont pick up as much.

5.) after you clean with the terry cloth or bath towel whatever you maybe using. Next then go over with a microfiber just nothing on it to pick up any loose hairs , dirt etc.....

Well so let's see we covered the floor (halfway) , the dash , the panels , the windows hmm....what am i forgetting ah yes. The carpet.

Alright first off i must say easiest color of carpet to clean is black same as floor matt's and i will say why.

1.) ok so once you got your carpet and matt's all vacummed up and looking good. Next your going to take your mats set em on the seat for now.

2.) if you have dog hair on your carpet here's a quick good tip. Take a old floor matt cut it to the size of your liking now spray just a little tad of degreaser on that dog hair and use the bottom of the floor matt you cut as you push towards you this will get rid of the static in the doghair allowing it to not cling to the carpet. like your ex trying to cling to you haha.

3.) ok once you got your debree cleaned up and your doghair picked up (if you have any) you notice you got some stains on your black carpet you used some degreaser or carpet cleaner it got it clean but not still 100% there still a little you can see. take yourself a can of sem trim black and very lightly mist over the spot in the black carpet do not do it heavy if you do you will see the patch you filled in.

4.) now after you lightly misted your paint over that spot very very lightly pat down with with microfiber i say microfiber if you use terry cloth you will get fiber's left over on carpet and let it dry about 15-20mins observe your handy work and look's like was never there.

Well guy's i hope this little interior detail walkthrough help's out some. I'll be sure to add more down the line im sure. Once my hand's aren't so cramped up ill be sure to do one for exterior as well.
