I think the whole rim in clear coated. The clear on the lips is what gets really bad and starts to peel and looks bad. When I polished out my lips, I did cover up the mesh to prevent any damage to the painted silver mesh.
is it just the lip that has the clear coat on it? seems like it cuz thats all that deteriorated due to the brake fluid which does the same basic thing as paint stripper lol. just wanna know so i know whether or not to tape off the diamond spoke mesh .
