  1. Glad to help
  2. Thanks for your help cerick, I appreciate it!
  3. Well, if you get a reprogrammed PCM then it doesn’t matter as long as you plan a bit. If you get a custom tune then I would definitely put the HV3 in first. Basically the HV3 doesn’t require special tuning because the PCM will adjust to it almost instantly. However if you get a custom tune, you want to have the car setup just as you plan to drive it so the tune can be tweaked in for every last HP. Whatever PCM route you take consider raising your WOT shift points to about 6000-6100 RPM to get the most out of your HV3. Also, obviously the rev limiter set about 200 RPM above that. Those two RPM adjustments are really the only “tuning” items that should be considered.
  4. Well I am looking into either having my PCM tuned or getting a reprogrammed PCM prior to getting the HV3 insert. Do you think I will have higher HP gains if I upgrade the PCM first?
  5. Yup, I installed the HV3 about a year ago. I think it was a big improvement for my car. When I first got my car it had tons of low end power, but it was a real dog when trying to pass on the highway. Immediately after installing it I noticed a huge improvement upper end power and acceleration. Let me put it this way, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Just be aware the insert really only gives you gains above ~4000RPM, and in a stock car your probably really only gaining about 15HP.
  6. I see you have an HV3 insert... how do you like it? You notice a difference immediately after installing? Let me know man... thanks
