Decided to become a Community Vendor as there seems to be interest in me doing these and if this site didn't exist, I wouldn't of been given this opportunity. I have been looking at making a trunk lid mat for awhile, didn't think it would get the attention it is, but after a few people asked me about making them, decided to go ahead and do it. In case you haven't seen my post in the Visual/Body Modifications section. This is what I'm referring to.

    FINISHED PICTURES BELOW!!!!

In the above pictures, the masking I kinda did in a hurry, but you get the idea of how I'm doing the lettering material.

I'm going to make these on an as need basis. First though - I'm not a business, I just like doing this kind of stuff, but I do like what I make to look nice.

    Construction
I'm using 3/16" foam board and #11 adhesive, total thickness of piece is 3/8", weight wise, it's not much.

    Options:
    Outside covering
Heather Charcoal (Matches our stock trunkliner covering)
Black (Still a trunkliner covering, just black)

    Recessed Letter covering
A fabric store I passed on the way to work has a large selection of felt colors, currently I have red, blue, black, silver.
Seen other colors such as oranges, blues, pinks, greens, etc... So color choice I'm pretty flexible, vinyl (chrome, etc) is an option, but would be additional cost. Or if you have your own material you want to use, can send the bottom cutout with no material on it, get some adhesive, apply your material, replace the cutout and your good to go.

    Lettering
Raised, if you want this option, I add a "GT" or similar to the top, then the entire mat on the front side will be covered with the trunkliner material.

Recessed, this option I cut out the "GT" or similar on the top board, a piece is cut out on the bottom board and a material in your choice of color is adhered to it, that piece is then replaced onto the bottom board using masking tape to hold back together.

    What's Included
Trunk Lid Mat, 6 plastic push pins for a 1/4" hole, Trunkliner plugs to cover up the mounting holes.

    What's required
You lining up the trunk mat to your lid and drilling (5) 1/4" holes.

    Lettering
"GT", "GTP", "GTX" or similar, the 3 letter options will be a smaller font than the "GT" option, I'd like to keep this simple so no "Mom's Grocery Getter". Font will match the font for 97-03 cars. If there is a different font for a different optioned car, if I can find it, can still do it.

    Price
"GT" Option: $80 + $12.50 shipping to the lower 48 states
"GTP" or "GTX" or similar Option $95 + $12.50 shipping to the lower 48 states.

Until I did Coltrane's and Shawn's I had no clue how much more labor intensive the 3 letters and being smaller would be. It's roughly an hour + time doing those.

If you want a vinyl ie: checkered board, may be a little bit extra.

    Shipping
I'd be shipping these out Fed Ex, I'll supply the tracking number when I get it.

I think that about covers it, I already have a person who wants a mat with raised lettering, so I'll be able to post what that looks like in the next couple days, along with another similar to the one posted but with a different lettering color. If your interested post here or if you have any questions on something that I didn't think of.

    HERE ARE FINISHED/INSTALLED PICTURES!!!

    Drilled the holes and installed.

This is after I made the plugs to cover up the push pins, pretty much done here.

Please send me a PM or describe here with the options listed above what you want. The price in the lower 48 will be "GT" option $80 + $12.50 shipping, "GTP", "GTX" or similar $95 + $12.50 shipping. I'm a one man show so I plan on doing 2 or 3 a week as time permits.

My paypal addy is convopro@aol.com, if you want to contact me, my phone is 717-364-6918. I'm located in PA just an FYI on that.

Went to the UPS store and had the letters sized up for the GTP mats. Sat down and cut the foam board this evening. All I have to now is dress up the letters and edges, do the holes for the push pins, than I can cover it with the fabric.

    Here are some pics.

It's called SofaChrome Italic... You can download it for free off the internet. You can get it so it's straight up or down or italicized (sp).

Stopped by the fabric store to check out what was available, walked out with these 4 colors, alot of other choices too, this is a felt, seems pretty sturdy so I wouldn't expect the adhesive I'm using to bleed thru it... Picture was taken with my camera phone, colors are alot more vibrant. Will post up tonight when I get Shawn's and Coltrane's finished. (Black, Silver/Gray, Red, Blue)

I ran out of time last night cutting out the GTP mats. May try tonight, going to wrap the two GTP's, need to buy more foam board, I exhausted all they had at the store I stopped at yesterday. LOL

Well, here's the one I just did for Coltrane, I may have to adjust the pricing for a GTP, I have 4.5 hours in this, but I think the end result is beautiful...
