sent you a pm bigblock. got the material and will probably ship it to you. one thing im worried about. since it is just foam board, how do you strengthen the inside of the "P" and "G" etc in gtp? looks like it would get really flimsy.

First off, would like to thank JarHead for chiming in on the questions. I never thought of using Velcro because of the possibility of it pulling from the foam board. You could try it, but please don't hold me responsible if the foam board was to rip.

The two that I did seem to be pretty sturdy once the fabric material is glued onto them. For a little more insurance, could always put on a piece of folded masking tape in between (basically a double sided tape effect) to offer a little more security

yeah, i didnt think of the board if you tried to take it off. you could if you did it slowly... as far as it holding the board up, double sided velco is pretty stong. i have some holding my 2 gauge pod and 2 gauges in place. its strong and takes a good amount of pulling to take it off.

yeah, i was wondering that myself. the letters there looked flimsy. I thought you might have taken some tape or glue and glued them down. if it were my trunk lid, i would secure those parts of the letters.

I have taken my board off at least a 1/2 dozen times with no issues, but I've been quite careful when doing it. It regards to the "P" and "G", I need to stop by staples tonight and I'll see what they offer that I can use.

Silver is looking for a theme panel to match art work under his hood as well as have it back lit with LED's
boy, and i thought i was picky...yet again, silver (ryan) is the guy who washed his car at the Branson meet when the thing looked like it had just been washed..i think it had a couple bugs on the front or something

Since my first version font wasn't quite accurate. Had someone download a badge and proportionately (I think I spelled that right) the letters to fit the trunk lid mat. This is really rough, but you'll get the idea. The letters will be roughly 3 5/8" high, the width of the letters will be just shy of 32". Here's picture of a rough layout of how they will look. Excuse the "T", it's just the paper overlap.

Just finished this one up tonight for Tim aka "01 GT". It's a black trunkliner material with red lettering. I also bought some small velcro things to go between the material and the top board for the letter "G", will use them for the GTP too. It does help secure them... The little indents you see on top are where the push pins go thru, I didn't cut them out yet.

I was thinking the same thing on the G and P and if they would start to sag while hanging upside down for a long time, I'm sure the velcro will take care of that no problem.

And personally I like the GTP font you used on the first two better than the one you show there, but it may look better when its finished, too.

The black liner material really laid out nice, it doesn't stretch as easily as the other stuff, but was nice to work with. The silver on black has your name written all over it... Decide about the car yet?

nah, not yet. im still planning on when to buy my struts

something that puzzles me is how you are getting the liner to wrap around the corners and insides of the letters so well.. are you laying the liner down on top of the pattern, then cutting, then folding it under the edges? i just dont see how you are doing the inside of the gt and stuff lol

With the cutout in the back for the felt piece and the fact the trunkliner stuff is stretchy, it's just tedious and somewhat time comsuming.
