Those are very cool. If I wasn't thinking about selling my car soon, I would probably get one.

question, how are you getting these to clip in? i looked at the u nderside of my trunk and i have no idea where you are clipping these in at...do you have to drill new holes or something?
Yes, you'll have to drill (5) 1/4" holes. It's probably best if it's a two person deal. You'll have to push the mat up as far as it can go and let it follow the contour of the turns on the top, then center it. Use my pics as a reference.

I did the top two first, put in the clips then located where the bottom 3 needed to be. I also have 10 holes instead of 5 because I screwed up the first time I put it on - attempted by myself.

I just realized something. I was browsing cardomain and came across a guy who had GTP trunk lid mat... It's a different font the the GT.

I mean the font I'm using is for a "Grand Prix", but the GTP emblems on the side are different.

Even if that's not the font of the badges I love it, I wouldn't change it. I had a raised letter carpet mat on my old car and I want to say the font was very similar to that? I love my blue but the black GTP looks awesome, too.

I would think it "could" work, these are light enough, my only concern would be the middle mount at the bottom, the trunk lid tends to bow in, it just may pull the coating on the foam board right off before it would stay in place.

I wanted more a permanant attachment, if your looking for putting it on just at shows, then removing it for every day. You could probably get away with it.

If you wanted to experiment, when I'd do yours I won't cut out the trunkliner where the pushpins go thru, you could cut them out later, I'd still include the push pins and plugs though just in case you would decide to drill the holes..

    Just let me know.

get some double sided velcro tape and velcro it on. if you get the heavy duty kind from home depot and put around the edges, that should be plenty to hold it on
