i had to buy a wiring harness becuase it was chopped off to install an aftermarket cd player (previous owner.) My question is, there are 2 plugs in on the back of the stock cd player...is there supposed to be 2 plug ins plugged in? After installing the new wiring harness I had 3 wires left over: Pink, Purple and Blue. The cd player turns on with lights but doesnt do anything.....help please!??!

What year is your car? I have an 06 monte carlo and had to buy a module that interfaces with the car stereo and cars electronics that allows aftermarket stereo input as well as maintaining the factory chimes and warning tones. Check with Crutchfield and they can tell you if you need the GM interface module or not.
