basically if i told you to jump off a bridge would you? rule number one in buying a USED car trust nothing as fact or actual.

anyone think he would have got a better deal for less than 2k from a dealer please let me know so i can point and laugh my as$ off at you.....
Yeah, you can't explain the discrepancies in the ad, just what I thought. I've got nothing to gain here, totally unbiased observations, don't know either guy. I've simply stated objectively what I see in this transaction. My opinion...worth zilch. But the way I see it he has every right to inform folks about a shady transaction in a forum that was made specifically for such comments.

Backing away slowly...sorry for the inturuption to your circle jerk.

I think the guy is talking about integrity more than being screwed over. He's acknowledged the fact that he should have walked away, he acknowledged the fact that he should have checked everything over better. He just simply saying that in his opinion, it's a shady way to sell the car. Do I agree with him? Jury is still out on it. I will say that he has too much faith in the human race to just blindly trust what the seller says.

I wasn't expecting, nor give a flying **** about a warranty 98broke... you dont seem to get the point. I was mislead and got stuck with a car that I wouldn't have made the trip for. I have a beautiful park avenue that I love.

I was buying a car for an employee and I'm not going to sell them something that's going to break down on them.

The whole point of this section is to warn others about poor experiences so that they may take the information and consider it in the future.

I could have asked for my money back and he could have said no problem. The car isn't worth what I paid and if you all could look it over in person, no one would disagree.

Blue book on a 2000 Regal GS with 210k on it is $1375 in Fair, $1725 in Good, $2066 in Very Good, and $2287 in Excellent. Poor isn't an option on KBB anymore, but depending on how bad the body is and the strut tower, it'd probably be between fair and good. I think you still got a descent deal, considering it has a tune, pulley, etc. Could he have told you about the odometer and the other strut tower? Sure, but it's still worth the money you paid.
