2002 Grand Prix GT, Corner brake lights do not work. Center/rear window brake light does works. Swapped bulbs with turn signal blubs and they work as do my turn signals. Tail lights burn. Can anyone tell me what is broke and what I need to replace? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Hope all are having an enjoyable Labor Day.

So you have rear brake lights and the rear 3rd brake light in the center working but the little mini bulbs in the corners of the rear taillights do not come on??

Because those are just running lights if I recall correctly, turn the headlight switch on and see if they light up.

No, Perhaps I was not clear. The center/rear window brake light works. The other two brake lights located in the tail lights do not work. The turn signals work and the mini bulb corner lights work.

Do you have a DMM to test for power and ground to the sockets?

I'd even follow the harness back some to see if the wires go damage or if a connector is burned up. Double check fuses.

Check for power and ground at the socket. Sounds like maybe two bad bulbs.

Try hitting the brakes while holding the turn signal lever back (like you're flashing your brights). If they work then then the turn signal switch in the column is bad
