Installed Addco rear swaybar and im getting. Ha ton of contact between the bar and exhaust. Most the paint on the underside has been rubbed off. I spaced the exhaust hangers with the old front endlink bushings and dropped everything about 3/4". That reduced the contact quite a bit, but hasn't eliminated it.
Has as anyone else had this issue?

I had the same exact problem. Was absolutely unbearable. When my exhaust went about a year after and I had to have everything redone I had the shop bend the pipe to work around the bar. Unfortunately I have no suggestions for you. Everything I tried so space it with ended up being worn through from the contact.
How are those bars? Big difference?

I did the sway bars and BMR everything (trailing, control, strut tower braces) at the same time, so I can't say if they individually made a difference, but as a whole, they transformed the car entirely. The back end just sits and stays there. Handles like I never thought it would.
I just replaced the upper front motor mounts with polys. I'm going to attache the old bushings outer ring to the swaybar where the exhaust contacts first. Should quiet it down at the least.
Should I just go with the new Moog bushings on the front control arms, or are ZZP tubular a the way to go?

I don't think ZZP arms are worth it when you can just get Moog problem solving bushings that will make quite a difference and at a fraction of the cost

^^^ Had I known about the Moog bushings I would have went that route. To bad though.
If I'm understanding you right about what you want to do with the bushing I did that. Just kind of putting it on the sway bar and letting that act as a buffer between the two. It worked for a while but would slowly slide out of place. The vibrations from the exhaust also travel through it into the sway bar and the rest of the car which can be kind of loud but I got used to it.

Put zip ties at the end of the bushings.. Should hold it in place enough so it won't slide.

I was thinking the same thing about the zip ties. I only get a bit of noise since I've spaced the hangers with old endlink bushings. Hopefully it will hold.
How much did the exhaust run if you don't mind me asking. It looks like Zzp's 2.5" exhaust cuts straight over then passes the swaybar.,eliminating any conflict. Maybe I'll have to go that route...

I don't remember exactly. Probably cost about the same as buying a catback exhaust system. Maybe even less depending on which on you want to buy.

Could always look on mandrelexhaustsystems.com then run whatever muffler you choose. Most guys hate how ZZP mufflers sound.Originally Posted by Acdc88

I'm going with these as soon as I figure out which dimension post to go with. Poly exhaust hangers, 2.375" center to center. only have about 1/2" of play, which is well within the 2-3" clearance I have now. I'm really pretty happy with the way the stock exhaust sounds, so if I can avoid changing the existing system that would be best.

I bought something similar to those thinking the same thing you are. They ended up bring the exhaust up so much compared to the originals that were stretch it caused the pipe to split right after the resonator. I think that the change in them stiffness plus shift in position was just too much for the old metal.

Ugh, I found some that have are 3" c-c, and my stock hangers with the bushing gap are 2.75". I'd guess stock they are 2"... When you say that yours brought the exhaust up, were they shorter than stock?

Those are what I bought. I don't remember if they were shorter than stock but they're stiffer for sure. The stock ones had stretched a lot and had a lot more play in them. Now the exhaust does move around as much if you try to shake it now it's solid. I could tell the tips were closer to the bumper for sure and for where the exhaust split it was because the resonator was stock position then the mufflers came up making the weak point split. like \/ but not nearly as drastic.

I actually did ever hanger. There were 6 I think. I'd just say go for it and if it cracks it cracks and you get a new pipe that won't hit the sway bar. It might not though.
