starting a couple weeks ago, Sometimes when stopping at low speed, I get an odd vibration in the brake pedal. No traction control warning but it does feel a bit like the antilock. It always happens low speed in a parking lot and almost always while pulling into a space (wheel turned) first time it did this I looked under the car and noticed power steering fluid dripping from the rack. Rear brakes need done, front breaks getting close about 30 percent left. I thought maybe PS fluid was getting on the rotor but the leak is pretty far away, I don't see any evidence of PS fluid spraying anywhere. Lastly a couple times I hear an electric motor sound run for a few seconds
I think I'm going to go ahead and do pads and rotors all around, anyone think of anything else I should look for?

Sounds like an abs problem to me. Mine did the same. You would need to check the wiring from the abs sensor at the wheel hub on both sides and check for a break in the wires. Ultimately worst case is a bad abs module which is $1000 brand new I believe. A quick temporary fix for that would be to find the side where the bad wire is and disconnect it at the hub. It will disable your abs but it won't do that crap anymore. I've done that on mine for the longest and the only annoying thing is the messages on the DIC but ehh. I can live with that.

Mine was doing this ended up being a broken wire but my ABS light was coming on and off and then eventually stayed on, I just soldered in a new section of wire and it was good to go. You can also check the resistince at each wheel speed sensor to see if its bad or at the EBTCM connector which I like the best because if you had a broke wire you can track it down better and test the speed sensors at the same time.

The resistance on mine was between 1072-1080 or along those lines, if it was bad it would read 0 or drastically different than the others. In my case I tested mine and got 0 at the RF. Jacked up the car and tested directly on the connector for the sensor at the wheel and it was good. Then to track where the wires were broken I measure the resistince of each of the two wires then had someone watch the meter as I jiggled the harness untill we saw it spiked and read different. Then just peel the loom back and you should find the break about where the meter would change as you jiggled the harness.

Tells you the pin numbers for each of the wheels, then the connector has the numbers for the pins on it conviently.

Location of the connector, if you need a closer pic I'll grab one tomorrow. You should see it, mine had some factory duct tape on it or something. Might need to remove the tubing for the airbox to get to it, I just took off my intake to make life easier.

What was your outcome on this? Mine just recently began doing this exact same thing. Thanks!

Great, today the abs started activating on its own....even when the brake is not depressed.

Right. Pulling the wheels off in the morning to check the wire connections. Front brakes were just done a few months ago, new wheel bearings 2 years ago. It needs CV axles. It started with just very low speed stops like pulling into the driveway. And randomly too, not every time.
No traction control lights coming on at all either.

Mine did that untill one of my wires broke completely, but only the random abs kicking in under low speed braking. I assume it was from the resistance in the wire changing enough to act like the car was sliding but not enough to disable the abs and tcs and throwing the abs light.

We had one day of very heavy rain and I went through some decent size puddles. I'm hoping its just a bad connection at the wheel.

Pulled both front wheels off. Pulled apart all the abs connections and sprayed wd40. Reseated all connections. Drove about 100 miles today with no abs activation whatsoever. :-)

I put new rotors and pads on the front and rear and completely flushed the fluid, it had cloudly gunk in it, was way due.
I checked the wire connections at the wheels and they looked fine. Issue was gone for about 2 weeks then this saturday it did it really bad, worse than ever and a few minutes after the DIC displayed service abs and service traction control and the dash lights came one.
The warning came up 2 more times since then and it did the stutter thing badly again. It still seems to happen when coming to a stop while turning. Im thinking the wires to one of the front wheels is the problem and the flex of the suspension is moving them. I bet my checking the wires is what made it go away for a few weeks. Going to go check the resistance on the wires now.

1134,1135,1145,1156 So resistance to all 4 sensors was about the same. no amount of fiddling with wires changed 3 of them one changed from1156 to1164 which is pretty insignificant

Mines been great for 2 months, abs started activating again at low speeds stops the other day. Something new though...when beginning to accelerate from a stop the "traction" lights up for a few seconds with no loss of traction. Failing wheel bearing?

Mine finally went to full ABS light and Trac off lit all the time. Replaced the right side wiring harness after getting a C0004. No lights on the dash after the harness install!!
