I broke a front Strut Spring today on my 02 GP GT. My car has always squatted a little in the rear, compared to the front. I found a set of lowering springs on ebay that I was considering doing on both fronts. Says it will drop the front 1.7 inches. Will I have tire rub issues with stock rims and tires? Is it safe to say the distance between the tire and fender well will decrease 1.7"?
02 Grand Prix GT, Silver with all options.

Figure the drop wont be 1.7 but maybe 1.2-1.4in for a long time, then they might sag as they age.

The ride quality won't be as good either but that comes with lowering. You won't rub with stock rims and tires.

I'd research more on lowering, you might want to see what else might happen. Be it with clunks, anti pogo washers and motor mount spacers to reduce driveline vibrations.
