Hi guys! I have a 2000 GTP. I'm replacing the power steering rack lines and taking out the rack to work on it. Does anyone have any tips/advice for removing the rack? I've never done it. I have done a lot of work myself to the car and am pretty good mechanically. I have the procedure from AllData but I'm looking to get some tips from people who have done it. Thanks!

this vid while he uses a lift, you can do it the same way on the ground with jack stands and a jack to lower the rear of the sub frame.

pic of mine rack out. you can see how far you'll need to drop the frame. unbolting the dog bones lets the engine drop easier too.

Thanks a lot Scotty! The video and picture was very helpful! I'm lucky that I have a spot with a hoist and transmission stand to hold the subframe so I can do it almost exactly like the video. I doubt mine will come out as easy since I'm in eastern Canada where road salt eats everything!
