Let me weigh in on the torque of axle nuts etc. I know there is a spec and many believe it leads to failure. I haven't been able to prove that out though. I run Moog bearings up front, SKF's in the back and something that stands true on these W bodies and the 00+ H bodies is that wheel bearings are constantly a problem. Guys that torque them properly have an issue, guys like me that zap them with a gun and never look back have issues and neither method seem to wear faster consistently.

I zap and go.. never been an issue.

Never had a call back on doing these hubs at 151 ft lbs with a torque wrench. Funny you've never had an issue just zappin them on considering I've seen techs do that with quality hubs and they get call backs lol. Idk. I will say that the hub itself can handle quite a bit of torque considering several vehicles require 192 ft lbs pounds and use the same exact hub we do

From an engineering standpoint, I can see how the actual material strength, design and torque would affect the longevity, and holding power of it...considering there are no pins or keys to lock the nut, and it is just the torque holding it on.
