Got mine swapped in. I've got some stuff to look at when I get home but damn those things transfer a lot more noise than I thought they would.

I wasn't able to use them unfortunately. They're for 2.25'" springs instead of 2.5" and I didn't have enough length in the top of the strut to use the spherical mounts and spring hat/bearing so I had to so a setup like in the original post. If I had bought the smaller mounts I might have enough room.

**** lol.. I was planning on using them myself for my set.. I didn't like the idea of the bearings being exposed.

I don't either. The total length ended up being the whole threaded portion lol. I could've taken out a little bit and maybe get the nut on with one thread #yolo. With the regular spring hats there was about a full nut length left. I got an awesome rubbing sound from my passenger side but I ran out of time before I get look at it.

I don't remember the size of any smaller bearings but if you could use those you may have enough.

I really want to run a shorter bearing now.

with the monoball able to turn and the strut shaft able to as well, you shouldn't need a bearing, but im running Torrington's anyways, two pairs up front even (small and the 2.5" "4t80e driven sprocket" bearings)

we need helper springs so everything stays seated at full droop.

the TR's rails had a bit of corrosion from the e85, so I took em and the 3 pairs of CC plates over to anodizing.
fully prepped/degreased, wrapped and dropped off they are slow so im getting a cash deal

kinda wish I hadn't sent em to ya yet, it only works out to just shy of 20$ each pair....

cups are fully welded, welded flush for max height. I sand blasted em so I can paint the cups and leave the stainless...might buff it quick with 600 grit....but ****it, racecar

haven't gotten to the bushings/integral spring bearing mount....the HAL/QA1 stuff has a two piece hat for a small Torrington. to gain max strut rod height im integrating it to the lower bushing since intense "modified" the upper hats to fit the ****ty OEM strut mounts....yay

cant wait to get this **** back and the rails on. believe it or not im actually impressed by how minimal the corrosion was with 4/5 years of e85

I was gonna do kevins plates pink but I didn't wanna pay more just for him to be happy they match his polo shirt

yeah the domed portion of the tower ends up flattening a little at the 3 bolt holes.

i had tried a 1/4" alum plate but the flex in it prevented the center plate from moving properly, as well as moving while tightening the 4 bolts. thats when i went to 3/8ths.

i did look at turning em in a lathe to make a bowl shape but that'd be a real PITA with its odd shape

why didnt you paint the horse shoe?

i wish id been able to find some .075 stainless for those but hey you take what you can get when its scrap material

i dont think im going to make the rod to uniball bushings out of stainless....quite pricey compared to mild steel

I was in a huge rush to get these on before i had to leave Georgia so no paint for now. Besides nothing rusts in Arizona lol. Once I'm set up in Texas I'll weld the bolts to the horseshoes and paint em all pretty. FYI the the plates fully centered put me out at -2 degrees of camber. Need to make some more adjustments to em so I can get down to -1.2ish

all the way to the inner edge is 3/8" outboard of the OEM hole which should add .5* more positive than stock. i did find out i need to keep the camber bolts at the knuckle with the lowered TR.

i need the strut to lay back to clear the tire
