Police Impala suspension parts on a GP?

The suspension is getting pretty worn on our GP. So after we move in August I will start to replace suspension parts. I have read that the Police Impala's have better suspension parts. I will be ordering most of the parts off of rockauto.com. I have read that Impala struts/springs will cause the GP to ride higher but that's not really a big concern of mine.

I am going to order lower control arms and strut/spring assemblies(front and rear) for a Police package Impala.
These parts will work on a '99 GP GTP, correct?

The pads/rotors are going to need to be replaced soon to. So I might pick up the front brake caliper brackets from a '00-'05 Impala in the junk yard. All '00-'05 Impala's have 12in brakes, correct? Are the rear brakes worth upgrading?

I haven't looked into sway bars yet.

I just want our GP to handle a little better and now is the time to upgrade since the suspension is pretty wore out. The prices for Impala and GP parts are pretty close on rock auto's web site.

I need to keep the costs down as much as possible.

another option you could look at is the Moog problem solver lower control arms. they cost about 90/side but they are supposed to be a decent upgrade compared to stock. Considering the next upgrade for LCA's is like 500+, these ones are pretty reasonable. I haven't tried them yet, so my info is second hand, but i've heard good things.
