    I put my 2002 Grand Prix gtp up on a lift for the first time since I bought it a month ago to find out it has a cracked spindle. Does anyone know where to buy a spindle besides eBay or junkyard. I called the big name auto stores and they all said they can't order spindles

    Well it's not the same unfortunately because if you ask the guys at the auto parts stores for a spindle they will say they don't carry it. If you said steering knuckle they should have found one, dorman makes them. They're tougher than oem too.

    I've seen them split completely from people hitting curbs, and crack from people hitting them to separate a balljoint/tie rod end.

    OE Steering Knuckles. (2) Front (2) Rear. All knuckles will be sandblasted, like the one on the far right, before delivery or pick-up. The sandblasted knuckle on the right is for sale as well. Only selling them in pairs.
    $50 for the single right front.
    $ 100 for fronts.
    $75 for rears.

    Id assume then this was a pretty hard impact and the car should drive like complete asshole with a cracked spindle. which also means you should probably inspect the control arms and subframe mounting points for any obvious signs, crack in the welds etc..usually the knuckle will outlast the car, unless you get plowed into by something.

    That's whats suprised me everything else is fine. Are the knuckles cast because it almost looks like how a casting defect looks

    funny you say that, one guy swears they are al. but we are fairly certain they are cast iron. put a magnet on it since you got it in hand, or will soon.

    OEM. But I'd prefer them to be iron like the dorman ones.
