I'm replacing the suspension in my 05 Comp G and I'm finding everything I need except the coil springs. Rockauto has a few but they're all variable spring rate. I read somewhere that those are good for the back to reduce sag, but they also said to get constant spring rate for the front. Is this true or would I be just fine with the variable rate in the front and the back?

I believe it all depends on what you are looking for in your ride. How do YOU want it to ride when you are done replacing the springs?

I'm more just looking for it to be a stock ride. It's a daily driver so I want it to be comfortable, but I don't want it to sit higher than stock normally does.

Do all 04-08 GPs have the same springs regardless of model or is there something specific I would be looking for?

Unless you plan on lowering it, why go with something different?

how many miles on your 05?
If I was to do what you are doing I would toss the G springs back on.
Are you spending the money on the FE3s that are stock on the compG?

I mean if you want I can look at my old compg springs and get you the numbers, the tags are still on them.

____Ridin On Chrome posted this in an old thread____

    Front Springs:
    22133031 FKN Highest Rate
    22133030 FKJ compG
    22133029 FJT
    22133028 FJS stocker for 99gtp
    22133027 FJR Lowest Rate

    Rear Springs:
10258880 TDJ Highest Rate come on 04+ comp handling package
    10258879 TDH
10276574 TFY stock rate for my 99gtp
    10276573 TFW Lowest Rate

My car has about 175,000 miles on it. It was suggested in another thread I started that I could get the Excel-G 339015 Front Struts (06+ Style, FE4 Spec) Excel-G 339148 Rear Struts (06+ Style, FE4 Spec) and be fine. So yes I am getting the struts for the special handling package.

Good choice either the comp g or excel would be good for you. I stand corrected looks like you should find low mileage comp g springs.

So you're saying if I go with those struts I can't use the sway bar and stabilizer links for the 05?
