    so at 75k miles i appear to need some brake work. front rotors a tad warped and pads are all but shot,rear is decent but nothing to jump up and down about for sure.was thinking bout the dreilled/slotted rotors and some decent ceramic pads as a replacement all the way around.i only drive it about 3 to 5k's a year...i see where monroe pads get good reviews.. which i was surprised about...plus this would look cool as well..

    I have them. The only benefits are;
    1. Your spending just about the same price for regs
    2. They look awesome
    3. they make an awesome sound when braking

    otherwise, meh.

    this would be a good time to upgrade to F body calipers and rotors for the front. and some ss lines for all 4 calipers.

    i got ceramic pads and slotted rotors all around, with the f bodys up front. night and day over stock stopping power.

    If youre staying stock, just know there is no difference in stopping power for drilled/slotted rotors (if anything there is less). I am 100% with with this guy ^^^^ if you have to replace them anyway, might as well get something that will actually function better AND look cool (assuming you go with drilled/slotted). Fbody kits, especially used, are not that pricy anymore.

    you carry the stock jack, and a bottle jack. jack up the one side of the car and take the back tire off, and put it on the front, put the spare on the back. problem solved for 20 bucks. or less.

    your trans will hate you for driving with a spare on the front anyways.

    UPDATE... been about a month or so and about 500 miles and all is well with the ceramic pads and the power stop rotors.ive noticed the brakes grab faster..not sure if that means they are better or not...and the monroe pads that i questioned..are doing great with no dust or anything..come to find out my dad has the monroe ceramic pads on his truck and has a butt load of miles on them...i think they are made in canada if thats of intrest to anyone?

    I was going to go with some Wagner Thermo-Quiet ceramics, due to the low amounts of dust and noise. How loud have those Monroe pads been?

    It's the only reason I'm steering away from semi metallics at this point, they always grind here and there and just sound ****ty in general when braking.
