what kind of struts do you guys think i should get? I have ebiach lower springs. its supposed to be 1.5-1.7 inch drop. I was thinking about getting KYB AGX struts from Rockauto.com. Its about 150-170 for each end set. Also do you guys think i will rub when i lower my car? i have 18 inch wheels on 245/45 tires

What the offset on your wheels? That will determine if you will rub or not

cant exactly remember. i think its 35 maybe 36mm offset. they are 18x8 sport edition wheels. Look very similar to the Kv5, but they no longer make my wheels. I dont remember the name of the wheels

I'm running 18x9.5 with 245/45/18's 28mm offset on SSC lowering springs, and I've got a little room to spare. Should be plenty fine running the same size wheels/tires with the 35mm offset

04s tend to drop a bit more then the previous gen Squid!

It's simple anyways.. Heat gun, mallet or wooden back and a hour of your time.

Get the AGX's. If the drop was minimal you could get away with GR2's.

Go to partsgeek.com for the AGX struts. $445 SHIPPED. and here is a $15 coupon code for an extra discount(SAVE15). your welcome
Rockauto has them listed for 110 per front strut, and 120 for each rear. Plus shipping.
dont buy the GR2s. They are garbage.

I'd run gr2s. You're gonna blow agx just as quickly.

    But apparently I'm a rebel.

are Gr2 cheaper? the AGX has anti dampering control on the outside like coil overs would for height.

they don't have ANYTHING adjustable for height. even a knob on a coilover like that wouldn't adjust height. height is adjusted by moving the springs OR the strut body, NEVER the knobs.

    it's rebound/compression damping adjustment.

and yes, GR2 are cheaper. they're a stock replacement strut.
