Is there a speical procedure for bleeding the brakes?

Wondering if there is a special procedure for bleeding the brakes on a 98 GTP that has ABS. I know some ABS cars have a bleeder screw in the ABS pump (I didnt see one but then again i dont see a lot of things....) and require a special bleed procedure and others it is straight forward bleed all 4 corners and done.

do the pass rear, 1 st, then the d/s rear, then, pass side front, then the d/s front.

have someone pump the brakes 4 times, then stand on them, you crack the bleeder screw, if theres air it will come out, shut the bleeder before the pedal pumper let s the pedal up. tell him to pump again, repeat as needed, till no more air or clean fluid comes out.

do not let the master cylinder go dry, keep checking it and re fill with new fluid as needed.

if flushing, suck the old fluid out of the master, then refill with new fluid, (dont touch the brake pedal while its empty) when refilled start to bleed them.

Alright. Thanks for the info. The master cylinder is all ready dry as are the lines since I replaced them all so it'll definitely require a lot of patience. Should a 32 oz bottle be enough to fill the whole system from dry. I hate to buy the one gallon jug and not use a bunch and have to throw it out.

if the master went dry, and you pumped the pedal, it now needs to be bleed.

it maybe easier to take it off and bench bleed it. ive done it by cracking the brake lines right off the master, same deall, pump and hold the brakes, crack a line, wrap a rag around the line nut cause fluid will spray, when you have just fluid, its bleed.

or google how to bench bleed a master cylinder, its easy but it needs to come off.

If the ABS module went dry then bleeding them get complicated, unless you take it to the dealer\someone with a Tech II scanner. If your ABS works, bleed the brakes, take it out somewhere safe and do some good ABS stops, the bleed again. My ABS doesn't work, so I'm still finding out a way to do it without the scanner.
