    Hey Guys,

    2003 GT 93k miles

I have had this issue on and off for the entire time I have owned the car, about 3 years now. At around 0-15 MPH I get a weird buzzing from the ABS system and feel vibrations in the brake pedal. It seems to happen more when I am going over bumps or turning, but it happens if I am just crawling forward also. The brakes do not allow me to stop as soon as I would like on dry pavement because of the weird buzzing and seeming activation of the ABS system. Sometimes it buzzes for so long that the low trac light and ABS light trigger for the rest of my trip and I assume the ABS system has deactivated itself. The system resets after a key cycle. It will go for months at a time and be perfectly fine and never give me an issue, then it will be so bad for a week or two when the ABS system deactivates every trip. I have done some online research and think it may be a loose or dirty ABS harness to one of the front wheel sensors? I know the sensor in our cars is built into the bearing housing so I would have to replace the entire bearing for that wheel to replace the sensor. Is there a place that would scan my ABS codes if they are stored for free? I have an OBD-2 Reader but it doesn't do ABS codes. Should I go to the junkyard and snip some old pigtails and splice them in to the front first? Or should I buy new pigtails? Any tips or same stories about this problem would be great guys, thanks.

give the hubs a test and check the wires and plugs are ok to the hubs.

jack each wheel up, lugs tight then grab the top of the tire and push and pull it firmly, if you find movement, the hub is bad.

if you cant find anything take it to a garage to be scanned, yes, they will charge you. but its better then guessing and tossing money at the problem.
