You can buy brand new pads and rotors for the front and rear with quality pads for around 200-250 bucks at just about any parts store.

Then its just the labor to put them on, of course its free if you do it yourself.

All new pads for the front and back can be had for $30-80. Rotors are more expensive. I would take the car elsewhere for another estimate. My bet is the brake pads are worn down and that terrible squeak is the wear indicators telling you it's time to replace the pads.

Any shop should be able to replace all the brake pads in under an hour for less than $150 with parts.

Even the most expensive stuff should only be about 200 in parts.

Advance has Wagner rotors for $55 each for the fronts, $43 each for the rears. They have Wagner Thermo-Quiet pads for $64 for the fronts, and $67 for the rear.

Thats around $330 for some good pads and rotors. You can install them in a few hours if you have even an ounce of mechanical ability and and basic tool set.

I use duralast on pretty much everything. No problems to be had

Duralast is on par with Wearever at Advance. I do have Wearever on my Grand Prix and it is okay, but if I had to do it again, I would go with Wagner.

Had CarQuest full ceramic pads and never heard a peep and little dust with proper installation. I think they're made by Movetech. ....maybe?

    I don't use Never(thermo)Quiets

Wearever rear rotors from advance are holding up great.

He's not a buddy if he says you have cheap pads and it'll be $500 to do it over.

    Punctuation helps too.

Yea that's not a buddy price. A buddy price is a 12 packs and pizza.

Do the work yourself its not difficult and you'll only be $200-300 if that in just parts.
