Hi Everyone,Im going change the front swaybar links on my 04 Grand Prix.Is it ok to just jack up and do one side at a time?Or does the complete front-end have to be off the ground. Thanks

I think you'd just make it a lot harder on yourself if one wheel was on the ground and the other wasn't.

The second you take the sway bar off, the bar will pop up and the LCA will drop down.

Just jack the car up by the subframe.

with the long sway bar links 04 style you can easily do one wheel up at a time.

    Thanks for responding guys.

Seems the theory and the reality don't match up. +1 for the GM engineering team for picking soft sway bar bushings.

Your car should have the 97-03 style links though.

GMPP sways are also the 97-03 style.

    That's all sorts of screwy.

Bolt style till 04, then socket on the non gxps from 04 part way into 06, then switch back to bolt style for non gxps, leaving GXP's socket the whole time.

    Oh GM.
