Another wheel bearing?

Like the title says, I think I got another front wheel bearing going. Just this past August I had the drivers side hub go bad so I replaced both front hubs while I was at it, and yes I tourqued them. Now I believe the drivers side has failed again. Did I happen to get a crappy hub/ wheel bearing or do I have a bigger problem? I don't remember the make of the last hubs I bought from Carquest (about $90 each) as I'v read a few threads on here about some companies lasting better then others. I already bought a new bearing from NAPA today, and I'm planning on installing it Sat. What do you guys think? I just bought a crappy hub or should I be looking at something else?

Jack it up and check.

Do the wiggle test to check for play and also spin the tire as fast as you can by hand while your other hand holds the spring on the strut, if you feel a vibration or grinding, then the bearing is bad.

Hub bearings go... sometimes faster than others.

I've had my car lowered for almost 3 years and only gone through one bearing, yes..I'm amazed.

FWIW Advance's Moog bearing is a 3 year free replacement. Using discount codes, I've gotten them for $60

You get what you pay for with bearings. I like OEM and Timken bearings. Moog are good as well. This doesn't mean they will last forever or that all other will fail in short order, but there is a difference.

Absolutely! You get what you pay for with bearing hubs. Timken, SKF, or Moog. I replaced the front hubs at 90,000 miles with Timkens and going great at 130,000 miles on the car now and just recently replaced both rear bearings at 125,000 miles-one was a little noisy and beginning to go-changed both.

How long of a job is it to replace the Wheel bearings? (sorry for sort of threadjacking)

45 minutes to an hour a side if you take your time and don't have air tools. it's 5 lugnuts 4 caliper bracket bolts 1 axle hub nut and 3 bolts on the back of the spindle, replace in reverse.

SKF is really the way to go, but if you replaced it 6 months ago it is most likely under warranty why not replace it for free?

New drivers side wheel bearing is in. Took me about 45min. I broke my old 1/2 dr. break bar on the 36mm nut and froze my *** off in the snow but otherwise was a quick and easy install. Also noticed the tie rods are about shot so that will be the next job.
