As the title states, I'm getting some sort of rubbing around the outer part of the rotor on the drivers side only when making a tight right hand turn. I thought the pads were wearing unevenly so I took everything apart and the pads were fine, but the rotor had noticeable groves on the outer part of the rotor. I figured while I'm in there I might as well change the brake pads and get the rotors turned. So I did that, reinstalled everything and I'm still having the same problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Here is s pic of the rotor. Thanks

Did u make sure u tightened the bracket bolts and all down good? And that nothing on the bottom side of the wheel area isn't rubbing?

Absolutely, but this was happening before I replaced the pads. I'm going to pull everything apart again after work tomorrow and see what happens. So you guys think it's a pad that's sticking causing the rubbing? Why would it only happen on tight right hand turns?

What do you mean by the bottom of the wheel area? I got under there with a flashlight and turned the wheel right and I didn't see anything rubbing that's what has me puzzled.

OK it could be one of the pistons on the caliper is sticking and not going back in properly causing the pads to rub

So I thought that fixed the problem but it didn't. Any other suggestions? Could it be the clip rubbing the top of the rotor? If so, why only on tight right hand turns? The pads don't look to be rubbing because the pads don't have any noticeable groves like the rotor.

Just want to update for archive purposes. I took it to the shop and they told me that the caliber bracket is somehow slightly bent. They measured both ends and it's a inch wider on the top of the bracket and they belive that the that's what is causing the rubbing. Tomorrow when the bracket comes in we will see if that fixes the problem.

I cant see the caliper Bracket I meant that's a solid piece and for it to be bent means some serious impact to it. My guess would be on the clips for the brake pads probably got snagged on the rotor when you jack the car up jack up both sides and spin the wheel by hand you should be able to pinpoint what's rubbing.

I took your suggestion and took things apart to see what's rubbing with both wheels off the ground and no rubbing occurred. It only happens with the weight of the car it seems.

Is your wheel bearing tight? Shake it from 12 and 6 position up and down if its loose that's your problem I have seen loose wheel bearings causing the rotor to rub the bracket in turns

I took the it to another shop and they say the wheel bearing has play and that could be causing the issue under a load. I made an appointment with my dealership because it's still under warranty. Brakes aren't covered, but drivetrain is.
