HT Motorsports has updated their site and name... Don't know the whole story behind all this but I have used some of their products in the past and am happy with them.

My question is this... I looked at their coilover DIY kit and it's interesting as you can use in over any strut and select the spring rates you want. Obviously if paired with some Bilsteins... It would be quite a combo.

Also, has anyone experience with "all shocks"? I would get the Bilsteins valved for the spring rate used in the coilovers... A bit on the expensive side, but you get exactly what you're looking for, no guess work.

I would ask your thoughts on these... Potential spring rates front & rear and opinion on the coilover kit.

Not bad really. All of it looks good, the DIY kit is a nice idea; I think HT recently was sold to someone else or something along those lines, but I'd imagine that all is still the same quality and stuff.

As far as AllShocks.com goes, they seem to check out on google, the bilstein sport combo with coilovers sounds like a nice combo.

For Spring rates its hard to say without knowing what your plans are, if you want handling find out what the optimal spring rate is for the Struts and go with that. If you are slamming something 400# up front and 350# rears or 50# more on each if you really are tempted to.

Which what you really want to do, is re-valve the struts to handle high spring rates correctly.

I have thoughts about doing coilovers but really want the Monotubes ... So this would offer the best of both worlds. It'll be a little more expensive than just a coilover set, but I think worth the extra scratch! My expectations are lowering, but not slammed and good tight suspension without bottoming and replacing struts too often. being as the Bilsteins are lifetime warranty, they're worth the added cost too.

I also like that the rear coilover will provide more room for my tires as the spring perch is removed. I currently got some rub with passengers in the back and it's not nice! Lolz...

No problem... It'll be a while before this happens as I still have my goddies sitting around that needs to go in first and the outlay ($) will require some creative savings plan, lolz. But I always plan way in advance. So maybe late summer/fall along with the CTS/Camaro front brake upgrade I'd like to do! If Uncle Sam is kind to me this year, then maybe sooner!

If you are running the correct series tire, you shouldn't be rubbing the perch, either your rubbing the fender or the strut itself. Spring perch is fixed and moves up and down with the tire in unison. If you are rubbing the strut on the inside (which I doubt, since that is also parralel to the tire at all times). The Coilover spring adds to the diameter of the strut just an FYI, this is why I am having an issue with offset and wheel width. What is your wheel setup and specs?

Yeah... I somehow clicked the wrong size when ordering the wheels n rubber. Can swear I selected 225/45/18 but actually purchased 225/55's... That little bit added height leaves about 1/4" between the inside edge of the rubber and the bottom of the perch. I get rub actually on the negative strut movement i.e., dips or strut flex on turns. Driver rear rubs on right hand turns... Etc. lolz. I haven't seen any rub marks anywhere inside the fenderwell but maybe I'll take a closer look.

Not bad but it's a lil' scary when doing 70mph I have pics somewhere I will try to dig em up and post for giggles!

You'll want to ditch those things man; buy the right ones and sell these as used.

Can you elaborate as to why (urgency?). I would probably do the rear coilovers before I took a loss on the rubber. Lolz, maybe that's crazy talk. Lately I haven't been riding much, mostly just a 10 min ride back and forth to the train so no real wear and tear on her. But I don't want to spit in the wind either... Thanks

Because your adding weight, wrong tire sizes look awful, your throwing your speedo off, you are killing your gas mileage.

Does the '05 stuff interchange with 97-03 parts?

To my knowledge all of the parts used ^^^ will interchange with 97+ GPs, basically if its a W body most of all of it will interchange.

Save for the Rear GXP caliper upgrade and that could potentially be more involved depending on the Parking Brake setup of your car.
