minimize weight transfer, get control of your front wheels.

Doing suspension mods for just drag racing is not worth the trouble.

If your going to upgrade struts/springs, do all 4 corners. STB's are a waste. Get beefy sway bars.

Then do what Matt said. Master the launch and dont get wheel spin and hopefully the trans doesnt give up.

Sooo would raising the back with those springs and dropping the front on DNA springs (persay) smart?
And how do you suggest to get control of the front wheels?

I guess the lowering springs could work, but the cable mod works better. That or rear spring blockers.

    ZZP LCAs will help.

But you may find you can meet your goals without that.

Get a set of adjustable coil overs, then you can have whatever ride heights you want. And you can set up the rear really stiff and tall ( insert 12 year old joke here) at the track, and then back to a livable set up so you can drive around in your car. Its expensive, but its what you are asking for. Also get everything bar wise, stb, big sway bars, trailing arms and if you are really serious lateral arms. Then your car will handle whatever you throw at it. And get good tires, best suspension in the world cant live up to its potential with crappy tires.

Some of the fastest wbody's had no sway bars whatsoever. If you don't need it to get the car to run straight, drop it, if it weighs more than stock, don't swap it. Weight reduction is key to keeping the transmission alive among other things.

The setup you want for drag racing is the opposite of causual driving.

GP's suck the biggest moose butt for drag racing. You can only ratchet the rear down or block the springs to keep the weight transfer under control. Your nose is still going to want to lift if you have any real power.

Casual driving..there's a ton of great upgrades to brakes and suspension to make the car handle much better.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I had a feeling this was the case.

On the topic of coilovers: AGX have adjustable rebound only. Not compression which is what you'd want to adjust in the rear.

contrary to what you think, you cannot just jack the car up and down at will without doing constant alignments.

    this is a terrible solution.

i am literally talking about knowing exactly where the right height is, mark the threads if need be. crank it up drag it because well if you are racing on those tires you dont need them to last. and then lower it back down before you leave. im not talking about doing that sort of thing for daily use.

Do the cable mod and get some springs blockers if you can find them, they pop up in the for sale every now and then.

An LSD is nice option for torque steer but engineered performance is probably your only option. I have one and love it, was about $600 shipped. Sure a torson or quaife would be better but they aren't made anymore and if you find they are 2k...

I had agx struts and they are a stuff ride, gr2s I have now for the first time and they are so much more comfortable!
