I have an 03 GT. At the last state inspection I was told my left front tire had some play, and I should change the hub before the next inspection. Now a couple months later,my ABS and traction control light come on periodically. Two questions, Can a bad hub cause the ABS to stop working, and since Im changing one, do I need to change both? By the way, it has about 110K miles. Thanks

Yes a bad hub can set the ABS light.

But a bad hub can also not set the ABS light as the sensor part is still good, but it just has play.

It would be wise to make sure you know which hub is setting the light off. And I would replace the one with play anyway because you dont want it to fail further.
