Just pick up this strut bar for $18 of a supercharged regal. Is it any good for gtp. I think there's a bracket that is used to be bolted to the strut mount bolts. and could I use another of the samr in the rear?

that is a GMPP strut tower brace it came stock on certain Wbodies like regals and monte carlos, there doesnt appear to be a bracket on that one which means to put it on your GTP you need to drill into your strut towers, yes you can put one in the rear

weather it helps or not is all a matter of opinion, i have a ZZP STB and i love it

Get ahold of Don at Home Page. He makes the brackets you need.

Just drill 4 holes (2 per side) in the strut towers. Obviously you want to set the bar in place, center it, then make where to drill.

Yes, you can put one in the back. Brackets make it way easier to install, but supposedly allow the bar to flex some.

I put one in my 02 GTP, and would never take it out. It really did help the handling out.

I purchased the GMPP sway bar kit at close out for $125 to replace my stock front sway bar that had cracked after 11 years at one of the end links. The kit includes a bigger front bar, a bigger rear bar, and the strut tower brace as shown above-no brackets-just drill 4 holes as others have suggested. I already have front and rear strut tower braces so I did not use mine but like others have stated above, strut tower braces absolutely effect the handling of the car and the stiffness of the chassis.

Regals and Impalas don't need silly brackets. Drill and bolt. You'll smile for years.

Jeez, I couldn't imagine hand sanding that whole thing. I'd either get it blasted the coated, or take a couple different flapper wheels to it, then hand buff.
