I am contemplating getting these, I know most of you will say go coil over but I am not looking for a serious drop just an inch or two max. I was gonna go and just do springs but with 160k miles on lil blacky I figured time for struts too. Any one got any picks of this set up?

i don't have a pic but i just put the zzp lowering springs on my car.....i dropped the front end after installing the front two and was thrilled.... but then i got the back two on and was pissed... my rear end now sits higher than it did before... don't really recommend zzp's springs if that is what comes on it... but then again i have yet to talk to zzp about it, i am thinking i got a bad set or i did something wrong but idk what i would've done wrong...

other than my rear end being a little too high for my liking, i love the set up... lowering springs make it feel like a whole new car steering response definitely quickened and a little more nimble

I only saw the pic of the springs, but specifically of the strut and spring combo. Is it safe to assume that the end result is the same?

What is the drop with the coilover setup from ZZP?
Im just afraid of going to low, I know blasphemy but I just use this as my DD and dont need to go super low! Just need to delete the 4x4 look!
ZZPerformance - Coil Over Strut Package for Wbody #ZZ-COVRSRT-WB

I dont mind getting coilovers the price isnt whats stopping me I just hear that alot of components start to go out at that kind of a drop but i guess they are adjustable so maybe I would be fine? I just love the bolt on aspect cause it sounds super easy to just jack it up and then swap out my old set up.

coilovers will probably let you go anywhere from stock height to 4" of drop. they will just be worlds better for handling.

Im actually picking up a zzp setup from a local member, but he said he didnt need to use anti pogos or dogbones/spacers on his car. Im questioning that....

Coils set the height, so you are asking for pics of SSC/CM coils.....

    Spec'd at 1.6"/1.8" drop, I netted 1.1875"/.625.

    Lots more pics here.

Is it just me, or is my car about the same height about yours?? Mine's not dropped at all, but i'd love to go a lil' lower than your setup there

So coilovers it is I guess! Im assuming its just a simple tool to set the height and is it literally a dial by inch adjustment? So if I want a drop like a set of SSC springs how close could I get? Would lowering my car two inches cause a series of other necessary mods? I was already planning on getting the shortened dogbones but what else would I have to look for with a coilover set up with an approx two inch drop?

depends on the the condition of other related components such as motor mounts and axles.

For that kind of drop you'd need either the shorter dogbones or mount spacers. Both do the same job.

So for the advertised drop from zzp of 1.2", is it a possibility i wont need anti pogos or spacers?

god i wish i knew what those things were all for and why they are and are not necessary in certain situations. i wish someone would have wrote a thread explaining why youd need things like that. ****.
