I havent been able to find anyone with the same problems who owns an 07 grand prix gxp with the 5.3 liter v8. My problem is this. I bought the car used with 150,000 miles on it. When i purchased it the rear tires had a thin section peeling off of the sidewalls. I assumed, going with the light scratch on the rims that the previous owner had just scraped the curb. I have since put about 5,000 miles on this car, and I have realized that the rear struts are nearly shot. When i have passengers in the back seat, the struts sag, and the tire rubs on the top of the fender, digging into the sidewall.
I have searched for new rear struts fitting this GM performance package suspension for the 18 inch wheels, but to no avail. I want to replace the entire strut assembly; strut, spring, and bearing plate. i can't find it. With the gxp GM put on the bilstein shocks, which i would rather stay away from... The dealer offers only the strut for $300 a piece...
has anyone had this same problem? does anyone know where i can find this complete rear strut assembly? I can find tons of strut assembly's for the grand prix gt, and others, but not the gxp with 18 inch wheels. Please help...

    Wrong section, moved.

Bilsteins are the best strut available for our vehicles.

    AllShocks.com | 2006*PONTIAC*Grand Prix/Grand Prix GXP Bilstein Shocks

All shocks claims the comforts are HDs and the HDs are sports.

HDs are approximately what your vehicle came with from the factory

You could just drop in 04+ struts if you wanted. No guarantees on ride height. Won't handle as well as it will with fresh bilsteins. But I'm sure it rides like a bag right now.
