Rear brake problems...please help

ok, today i put my rear calipers back on with new rotors and pads, i got the calipers mixed up and didnt know which one went to which side...i assumed the bleeder valves pointed up so thats what i did. Not sure if it was correct... then i had problems getting the driver side caliper over the rotor... I jammed it in the wheel wouldnt budge, so i decided to drive it a little maybe it would set in. It didnt, the pads and rotor were smoking and wearing thin instead . Then i tried my e-brake and it dosent work at all. I can push it to the floor with no problems. Im confused, the other rotor and caliper are working perfectly, please someone help me...

Bleeders look up.
E-brake and disc brakes are 2 different systems. If your e brake is not working there's something wrong or you need no shoes.
Did you remove the calipers from the brackets? If not you may want to try that. The caliper bolts may be froze in place.

since u mentioned it, i couldnt even get the calipers off the brackets, I stripped 2 bolts trying. Im debating wheather or not i should just order remanufactered calipers from rockauto, there $193.99 withe a $100 core charge. Or if there is an easier way to get these calipers off the brackets? I think i might have ruined my new pads and power slot rotor. im pissed

I would go to a junk yard for replacements. Did you press the pistons back into the caliper when you put the new pads on? First rule, dont force it unless its pressed on. I am replacing a caliper on the front of a car because the piston has a ripped boot, which allowed brake dust to get in and in turn does not allow the piston to slide (same can happen with caliper bolts). Make sure you have no ripped boots (caliper bolts or caliper piston) If so, replace whatever is ripped and either replace the caliper or clean the bolt holes really good and re-grease.

You can get a pair of rear calipers from Ed Morad for $30 shipped. Comes with brackets, too, I believe.

I think you're problem is that the caliper is seizing and/or you didn't push it back in far enough. My passenger side rear caliper seized on me a couple years ago. Morad's fixed it.

6 point sockets are your friends........
I've used heat in one instance.
I've actually had a caliper bolt come out twisted on one car.
