i still need to put the rear ss lines on and paint the rears to match. they are a real mess and a wire brush wont cut it, maybe a wire wheel on a drill may do a nice clean up. thats for the near future though.
yeah i need to paint my calipers as well this up grade is an end of summer thing
More of pedal travel than feel. But F-body feel like they don't work as well as stock because the initial bite is not as hard.
I have both. F-bodys on the GTP with GXP rears
and 06 06+impala/monte on the Regal with GXP rears also.
There's a lot more pedal travel with the F-body, but when they do bite. They bite hard.
That doesnt sound like caliper issues. Sounds like pad differences.
Because they should apply precisely the same pressure for a given pedal distance.
Its common on clubgp for years because of the dual pistons and there size compared to the singe piston.

I realize many have talked about changing the pedal to correct the travel/feel issues. Personally my only experience is with my car and I don't notice any feel/travel problems.
But then I redid the SS lines with Goodridge after being advised that the ZZP lines vs the Goodridge could make that difference. I also bled very thoroughly with synthetic fluid and a power bleeder. Fluid can have a huge difference on brake feel etc.
For the $60 (calipers, bolts and brackets with bolts) shipped to my door off Car-part.com, then $120ish for rotors and pads from R1 Concepts. Then the goodridge lines from PYFC ~$100. I am one of the happiest brakers in the area.
If I were to do it again, I'd go with their standard eline rotors, not drilled/slotted.
They are for bling only.
The only advantage I've found is that they give a cool RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound when stopping from highway speeds. Otherwise, they haven't done anything to suggest the extra cost or attention that they get was worthwhile. Also a note, that I have 40K miles on them at this point and there are very very small spider cracks eminating from the holes. Aka ..they are starting to crack. At 40K with the abuse I've given them, I'm pleased with their performance. There is simply no justification for the drill holes though.
I would not run sleeves. Just drill and tap m14x2

So the hole in the bracket is larger than our stock bracket? Is that what the sleeve is for? So u can still run stock bolts? I honestly am trying to picture this without looking at the brakes. I have 1 set of each, f body , 06 impala and just a 12" rotor bracket.
the caliper bracket bolts are thinner for the f body caliper, vs the stock w body bracket bolts.
so you need the sleeve to take up the space, ( sleeve goes in the knuckle) or drill and tap the f body bracket to use the stock w body caliper bolts.
Ah I see. So what if I use the c5 caliper ? What bracket would I need ? The fbodys ?
Again, lol I have all of these but just been running a stock caliper with 12 rotors
