    Hey guys,

i am looking to buy a set of springs for my 04 gtp comp g. I can get a great deal on a set of CM springs shipped to my house for under 150. My question is will a spring set for the gxp fit a gtp? I emailed the seller and he said it would fit both applications. Can anyone confirm this. Also the drop is 2.5 " front and 1.5" rear. Will this figure change if installed on a gtp?

Also I hear that 2.5" will actually be really much lower once installed. I am wanting to go really low and can sacrifice ride comfort. Anyone have experience with the CM springs?

GXP parts are interchangeable, so you'll be able to slap them on and go.

as far as the actual ride height im not so sure. the 'advertised' rates you mention don't sound right.

Thanks! and those rates are straight from CM. It says the gxp springs have 2.5" front drop with rear 1.5" drop while their base model gp or gtp springs are 1.5" drop on both ends.

i have a feeling they are the same spring, they are just saying the GXP has a heavier front end. therefore they drop more on the GXP.

quick update. CM told me the springs will work with the gtp however they also said the drop would be lower because of the different model car. Does this make sense to anyone? I thought it would be the other way around?

If they are different then what they told you is correct. The car doesn't weigh as much so it won't drop as much because the spring rate is higher.

I think u got confused. What CM actually told me is that the drop would be more if the springs were installed on a gtp..However I don't get it because the gxp would weigh more. I am still waiting on an answer from CM regarding this.

update: they responded back and said they were wrong. They said the drop will actually be less on a gtp. Bio, u were right. Now I am wondering if the drop will be to little for my liking, I would like to see at least at 1.5" drop.
