The rear left part of my trunk has a leak i think, my car was left out in the rain the other night and when i came back out the back left part of the trunk, close to the tail light was wet, the carpet part was most drenched, i cant seem to find the source of it, but i will look again this afternoon. what would i use to seal it up?

its a 1998 grand prix with 210k on the body, so I've been expecting something like this.

That's what i was going to check today Rico, but the leak is on the far far left, not near the spoiler bolts.

Easy way to find leaks is to hop in teh trunk with a flashlight and have a buddy hose down the car.

no nothing in the trunk lid, it's all in the carpet near the light.

They havent turned the hoses on yet... too cold

Hurry up and get in the trunk with a flashlight before it starts to down-pour! I hope there's a release mechanism in there.

You mean the sub that keeps sucking up all your power? Maybe it's so powerful that it has distorted the rear of your car causing the leak.

    Just sayin

just to show the power behind the subs and what could be the problem... reviews from polk audio:
    "STRENGTHS:
POUND! Easy to hook up, great value for the money.

    WEAKNESSES:
Besides breaking every tack weld in my car... yeah right. what weaknesses?

    REVIEW:

Wow... these things pound! Got me into a car club - Midwest Hitters, holla! Once I get an amp that can take these to their full potential I will be entering competitions."
    and
    "STRENGTHS:
The bass broke welds in my trunk everywhere. yes that is a plus

    WEAKNESSES:

ehh nothing really. its a little big in a jetta

    REVIEW:
This enclosure is beyond awsome. The best system i have ever had in my car hands down."

so i guess it can break welds....
