Was having this discussion a bit over in the engine forum but figured I'd create a topic in the right spot to discuss it better

I'm looking to replace my lower control arms on my 2004 GT2 but I'm having a hard time finding nicely priced arms. If I use the ACDelco Parts Catalog and enter my car, the part numbers for control arms are 45D3358 and 45D3359.

So I went on Dorman's site and looked at their products. I took the direct cross part numbers from two different sets of arms, punched them into ACDelco's competitive part search, and wrote down what ACDelco part number it popped out.

2003 Grand Prix GT
Doorman # Direct Cross ACDelco Part
520-167 10328903 45D3358
520-168 10328904 45D3359

2004 Chevrolet Impala
Doorman # Direct Cross ACDelco Part
520-165 15293665 45D3358
520-166 15293664 45D3359

They look pretty much identical, though the horizontal bushing looks slightly different. Dorman doesn't list the 2004 Grand Prix as compatible, but I get the feeling the parts will work.

Has anyone used these Dorman's in their '04 Grand Prix, and did you have to replace anything else (sway bar, sway bar link) ? Just looking for some sort of validation from someone who's done this replacement before since I live in Canada, and shipping's pretty bad to get things north of the border. I don't want to buy the wrong set of control arms only to find out they won't fit.
