    So my rack and pinion cracked in half last week :/ But I am confused on weather my GT is Magnasteer or not How can I tell? I am a newbie here but I havent found a thread with this info yet. Your help is greatly appreciated!

    If you have a electrical connector on the rack you have magnasteer.

    The wiring for Magnasteer will be on the drivers side near where the steering shaft meets the rack, near the big rubber boot that covers it. It connects to a harness that runs up the side of the transmission. At least that's how it is on my 00 GT.

    Just a word to the wise, I've been told several times to go with a genuine AC Delco rack. I replaced mine a while back and scored an OEM one off of Ebay for way less than a dealer wanted or what I could find it for online at other places (even Rock Auto). Replaced that and both PS lines and it's been good ever since.
