hi there. recently I removed my throttle body for cleaning and was told on the forum by a member that I should disconnect the battery afterwards in order to wipe the memory of the ecm, so that it could begin to relearn the throttle settings, which I did. yesterday I was driving and I got a message on the display saying low brake fluid, so I checked and sure enough my rear drivers side caliper is leaking.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there are sensors that control the pressure from the master cylinder that may have been messed up when I flashed the memory to the ecm. If so that would explain why the caliper is leaking and then I would know to not simply repair the caliper, but also have the car connected to a scan tool to have the settings put back how they should be. Thanks for any help.

your brake line or caliper is leaking. has nothing to do with cleaning a TB.

take the wheel off and find that leak. the low brake fluid light sensor is on the side of the master cylinder tank. fluid gets low the sensor sets the light.

No i understand that my throttle body has nothing to do with the brakes. What im saying is that i know that when i disconnected the battery i didn't just wipe the throttle position settings, i also wiped every other setting. What im wondering is whether or not there is a sensor that controls brake fluid pressure that may be off a little? I figure if it is that would explain why the caliper is leaking.
