    Looking into getting a front sway bar. (yes i used the search button, all i found was the sticky on sway bar sizes) Money is a tad tight right now. But i need what i need, whats the best sway bar for a decent price? I should get new links while im tackling this? So i should get a sway bar with links as a package? Thankss

    you could get the dorman sway from rockauto, like $80. it comes with bushings and endlinks. ive been advised to upgrade the end links and bushings with moog but its your call.
    plus, dorman is solid so youll be upgrading at the same time.

    I don't know if it's the best price, but it's the best bang for your buck. You get front and rear with new endlinks, also get a strut bar
    Here $135
    iirc it took about 2 weeks to arrive

    No.. Its hollow, but bigger.
    People will argue whether solid is any better than hollow when size is the same.

    gmpp = meh

    the rear sway is more of the weaker link in these cars fyi but
    if you want the best go with a progress front sway bar from zzp or get slp front/rear sways from 3800performance.com..pricey but ya gotta pay to play

    if money wasnt needed to go fast then we would ALL be in the 8's

    How come when I was researching these bars.... I came across multiple posts, on multiple forums, that said to upgrade the rear before the front? Is this some sort of safety concern? Because I see alot of people with just an upgraded front sway bar....I'm just curious.

    fwiw, I drove around on a broken front sway bar for ~2 months. I am not by any means telling you that it is ok, but I just avoided 45+ roads, and drove as little as possible, took the back/long way, corners at 2 mph, etc.

    rear sway bar will help turn in and rotation of the rear of the car, hense better handling. front will just stiffen up the front more making the car continue to plow how it does stock.

    I got the gmpp package deal. Installed the front sway bar, gonna do the rear when I need it. The front strut tower brace I was a lil dissapointed that I had to drill into the strut tower.....after I drilled it I found out that there's a brace you can buy for it so you don't have to drill. And yes, I believe the gmpp one is hollow. But for the money its a good package deal and worth the money.

    Yes, the GMPP front is hollow and is just as stiff at 34mm as a soild dorman 33mm. the only difference is the GMPP weighs 12.5 lbs and the dorman weighs 18.

    If it was just an upgrade I would have done a rear swaybar and put the strut tower bar back there, as the rear of our cars tends to be alot looser, hence the understeer.
