    we are trying to fix the ass-sag that her gt has developed...we DONT want to drop it, slam it, lower, ect. we just need oem replacements. i found these: Gabriel Ready Mount/Shock/Strut - Rear (G56924) | 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 Cylinders K 3.8L SFI OHV | AutoZone.com now i guess my question is, is that what we need, or is there something else we need??

    Yes. That is the correct drop in strut/spring assembly.
