Minus catastrophic brake events such as blowing a brake line out, almost all ABS/Traction issues are either related to the wheel hub/bearing assembly and it's wheel speed sensor, or an issue with it's wiring. It can also be the ABS module thing, but that is usually rarer.

Have someone scan the ABS codes for you. Or search this section of the forum, as there is hundreds of topics relating to this.....

Scan it with a Tech II
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

My car has done that too, the ABS light will go on, traction control turns off, and brake light comes on. There are many posibilities for it.. Pull your tire and check it for anything abnormal such as disconnected lines or sensors.. I talked to a mechanic who also said that it can sometimes be caused by a drastic blow by for example pot hole that you forgot to avoid. but in this case id have to agree with postal c38.. a scan tool wont always read the correct code for it, it will sometimes just give a general code saying there is something in the abs that is wrong.. essentially getting it scanned is a good idea yes, but it will probably have to be looked at a bit deeper than that for a good diagnosis.. at least in my experience that was the case. As far as the new brakes on the car, that shouldnt have anything to do with it, more of a coincidence. unless a sensor/wire was damaged in the process its very unlikely it has anything to do with new brakes
